Smith River Map
Smith River Map
Home to the only stretch of permitted river in Montana, the Smith River State Park encompasses 59 miles of river meandering past towering limestone cliffs through picturesque remote canyons, and offers solitude and a chance to enjoy life on river time in the heart of Montana. Highly sought after, a Smith River permit is a bucket-list item for anyone who enjoys the beauty of remote wilderness trips, blue ribbon trout fishing, and the ability to leave the hustle of the world behind for a week while floating and camping your way through beautiful central Montana.
Our Smith River map includes the area topography and hydrology like all of our maps, but also includes the campsites along the river, making it a perfect gift for anyone who has had the pleasure of experiencing Montana’s only permitted river.
38”x20” framed
Made from 1/2” Birch and framed in reclaimed wood, each of our topographic maps is unique thanks to the differences between pieces of wood and the reclaimed frames. Our maps are created using USGS topographic data, and while they can be used as navigational aids in a pinch, they are intended to be enjoyed as art pieces to celebrate the unique topography and hydrology in each special place. Made to order, each map is laser engraved, hand sanded, framed, and finished, and can be customized to highlight special areas of interest or to celebrate special occasions.
